Brass
These are titles arranged for brass instruments and include solos, duets,
trios, quartets, quintets or chamber group pieces with or without piano
accompaniment.
Choral Music
Arrangements for vocal ensembles or full choir. See the individual
descriptions for detail. These are for various combinations of voices, from
SAB to SATB to TTBB, usually with piano accompaniment.
Easy Piano
New to the catalog in July 2009. These are designed for the beginning pianist.
To meet the needs of the beginning pianist, they contain minimal hand movement,
easy rhythms, comfortable keys and include minimal fingering. These are not for
the absolute beginner, but are good for progressing students and those that
haven't played the piano in a while.
Handbell/Handchime
Handbell and handchime music is often interchangeable so just because it
says handbells doesn't mean you can't try it with chimes (or vice versa).
When using handbell music on handchimes, do not do any of the mallet, mart
or plucking that might be listed. When doing handchime music on handbells,
try adding mallet, mart or plucking effects to the music. The levels listed
correspond approximately to the AGEHR rating system. The number of octaves
required varies from 3 to 5 and much of our 5 octave material works well
with only 3 octaves playing.
Instrumental hymn accompaniments
Variations of the typical 4-part hymns found in most hymnals. Some
additional arrangement material is added and the pieces are written more
in instrumental style than if played straight out of the hymnal. Parts
are provided for C, F, Bb, Eb and keyboard instruments. These are one
verse only and designed to be used to supplement keyboard accompaniment of
congregational singing. For titles included in each series, see the
Hymn accompaniment details
page. You can use the search form to find familiar titles to the various
hymn tunes used in the series. These arrangements consist of one verse of each hymn.
Instrumental Descants and improvisations
These consist of one verse of the song. The descants are designed for
use in accompanying hymns along with the usual keyboard accompaniment.
Improvisations are also one verse only and are similarly useful for
congregational singing. Both are quite suitable for use on synthesizer or
secondary piano or organ.
The melody is included.
Instrumental Ensembles
Full arrangements of the listed title. This is the category for everything
instrumental from a combination of 3 instruments up to, but not quite full
orchestra and consisting of a mix of instrument familes. For example,
string and brass playing together would be here as might be woodwinds and
brass playing together. For pieces utilizing just brass or just
woodwinds or just strings, see those respective categories. Also
listed are are the 4+1 ensemble pieces. Those are described below.
Instrumental Ensemble 4+1 titles
These pieces can be played by any group of 4 or more different voiced
instruments plus keyboard. The four parts correspond roughly to the same
parts found in choral music. The additional instrument can be organ, piano
or synthesizer as well as a full rhythm section or just guitar. This series
of music is designed for small groups. If you have less than four players,
there are various pieces available for solo, duets and trios of instruments.
These are full arrangements.

little or no additional cost.

or postludes. This category also includes some classical organ literature
recently typeset and edited.
Organ Hymn accompanying
Alternate harmonizations are for one verse of the hymn with different harmony than in the hymnal. They are designed to be used in
accompanying congregational singing. Accompaniments are the same harmony as used in the hymnal, but different accompaniment. Some
titles include or are introductions to the hymn or modulations between two titles. See the individual title descriptions.

Praise-Worship Music
This is a series of one-verse accompaniments to so-called praise and worship
music, sometimes called praise choruses, that are used in many contemporary
focused worship services in churches. There are various types of arrangements
in the catalog. First, there are charts for your rhythm section
(instrumentalists). Those include a written out part for guitar, drums, piano,
keyboard/synthesizer and electric bass with an auxillary percussion part
provided on some titles. Just set these parts down in front of your
praise band rhythm section and you are ready to accompany the singers/congregation.
Second, there are charts for
all your instrumental needs. Whether just a rhythm section or a full-orchestra,
these titles will fit your vocal or congregation accompaniment needs. Finally, we have leadsheets of
various titles that include the melody, chord symbols and words. See the
individual listings for specific details.

string family, or string duets, trios quartets and chamber material, with or
without piano accompaniment.

particular woodwind instrument or the woodwind family of instruments. Also
contains duets, trios and chamber group material, all with or without piano
